Leadership Isn’t a Title, It’s a Burden
A lot of people chase titles. They want the word “boss” next to their name. They want the paycheck and the power. But leadership isn’t a crown. It’s a weight.
Titles Mean Nothing Without Trust
I’ve met plenty of so-called leaders who couldn’t lead anyone. They barked orders but never earned respect. In the Guard, that got people killed. On the jobsite, it gets people hurt and makes good workers quit.
Leadership Hurts Sometimes
Being a leader means staying late, taking the blame, and giving credit away. It means carrying more weight than anyone else. It means bleeding with your people when things go wrong.
Action Over Talk
Workers don’t respect what you say. They respect what you do. If you’re the first one in, last one out, and you never ask someone to do what you wouldn’t, then you’re a leader. If not, you’re just a boss with a title.
America doesn’t need more bosses. It needs more leaders.
