From Homeless to Master Plumber: The Chris Moore Story
Chris Moore didn’t grow up with stability. As a kid, he bounced from house to house, slept in cars, and watched his mom fight to keep the family alive. He remembers pulling his younger brother and sister into closets to shield them from the chaos in their home. For many, that kind of beginning would have led to a lifetime of struggle. For Chris, it lit a fire.
The trades gave him a way forward. Plumbing wasn’t glamorous. It was long hours in crawl spaces, heavy work, and nights of exhaustion. But it gave him something he never had before — stability, purpose, and a path to build a family. Through grit and persistence, Chris became a Master Plumber and co-founded Silver Peak Plumbing.
His fight didn’t end there. Chris and his wife faced years of infertility, IVF treatments, and heartbreaking miscarriages before finally welcoming their daughters into the world. At one point, his employer fired him for daring to build his own side business. Instead of folding, he went all in.
Today, Chris Moore is proof that resilience is forged in fire. His story is the very first episode of the Ironcast Podcast, where we share real conversations about grit, brotherhood, and the blue-collar fight to build a life worth living.
